UK fleet growth index
Every week, how many goods vehicle operators in Great Britain and Northern Ireland applied to add vehicles to their licence, counted from every published notice. A fleet has to apply before it grows, so this is the earliest public measure of how many hauliers plan to grow. An application is permission, not a purchase.

Weeks from 8 December 2025; latest week starting 2 November 2026. To quote a figure: “CapexRadar fleet growth index, capexradar.uk/fleet-growth-index, week of 26 October 2026”.
Week by week
Operators applying to add vehicles, the last 26 weeks. A paler bar is a week with fewer notices than usual, so a gap in publication does not read as a fall.

How it is counted
- One count per licence per week: an operator applying to add vehicles or trailers, or to raise the authorisation at a centre.
- Applications, not decisions. Most are granted, weeks later; the application is the earliest public sign.
- A week is the Monday to Sunday its notices were published in. New licence applications are counted separately and not included above.
The operators themselves, with the figure, the deadline and how to reach them, are on Stanfell.
